The communiqué of ICG Kampala meeting

Kampala (almuniir) - The international contact group has last night issued a press statement comprising of four salient outcomes in Kamapala, the capital of Uganda. The ICG asked the resolve their political stalemate.
The communiqué explicitly explained the current situation of the country, the political and security issues in particular. The leaders were asked to solve and bring an end to their political bickering to move forward other issues of national significance.
The following points were contained in the communiqué:
1. The officials should adhere to the constitution of the country and the Djibouti accord.
2. Elections be held in August this year, if the differences are not resolved, where parliament speaker and president will be elected.
3. The international community is worried about the political impasse between the executive and the parliament and therefore, they propose the abrupt agreement of the contending parties.
4. The ICG expressed optimism in the statements of the president and the speaker of their willingness to set aside their differences in the last meeting of the ICG.
The president and the speaker of parliament have been engaged in confidential meetings in the week in Kampala sometimes with the presence of the presidents of Uganda and Burundi and members from the AU.
The Prime Minister Farmaajo later joined the meeting after reports indicated that there was campaign to share political power which the premier refused.
The leaders of the TFG are expected to return to Mogadishu tomorrow to implement the communiqué from the ICG meeting.
