Mogadishu (almuniir) - The militias Al-shabab have closed down Hornafrik station in Beledweyn, the regional capital of Hiiraan.
The closure of the station is following the release of a verdict from a preacher who warned that suicide bombing is unislamic and not allowed in Islam. It seems the verdict irritated the militias prompting the closure of the station.
The militias locked down the station ordering the staff to leave the offices. They threatened to punish if they come back to the station.
The militias intimidate and threaten the press personnel in the areas they control. The muzzling of the press by the militias is in the form of arrests, torture and threats to the journalist, banning TV and radio stations.
