Sana'a (almuniir) - Hundreds of Somali families were caught in the Yemeni cross fire in the Hasaba in the capital sana'a where the government soldiers and the opposition groups are battling.
The chairman of the refugee committee in Yemen Mohamed Abdi Gaboobe told Almuniir that the families have locked their homes from outside to avoid infiltration by the tribal oppositions fighting withe government.
“It is hard for the families to escape while caught in the web of the fighting, but there are about 5 families who managed to elude the fighting areas", said the chairman
The UNHCR warned the Somali refugees of going close to the violence areas where they can bring danger to their lives
Violence which aims at toppling the incumbent Ali Abdalla Saleh has been going on in Yemen in which the opposition and the government forces were engaged in direct battles, endangering minorities and refugees like the Somalis.
