Mogadishu (almuniir) - Calm has returned to mogadishu after intense fighting between the rebel fighters of Al-shabab and the TFG military backed by the AU peacekeeping forces in the last two days
Witnesses told Almuniir that no gun fire was heard this morning adding that the military forces are in control of the area of fighting where Al-shabab were chased away from the Wadnaha road.
The military are reported to be in some parts of the Bakara market where they seized yesterday from the rebel promising that they will continues with their crack down on militias until they secure Bakara market and Banadir province
The last two days has seen fierce fighting between the government forces and Al-shabab where the TFG forces captured Wadnaha road, whihc is the very important for the business of Bakara market, and at the same time leads to the market. Bakara market is the lifeline of the city and is heavily contested by the warring sides in Mogadishu
