TFG asks aid agencies to have closer look at Al-shabab’s offer

By correspondent
The TFG has warned the aid agencies not to immediately heed to the words of the militias Al-shabab where they offered to let in humanitarian aid agencies to assist and bring in aid to the drought-affected people in their areas of control.
The assistant minister for the defense of the TFG Abdirashid Mohamed Hidig who was exclusively interviewed by Almuniir said it is perilous to jump at the offer of Al-shabab.
The assistant minister said the senior leaders lack food to feed their militias. Hiddig said any NGO that is keen on alleviating the catastrophic drought should pass the government in order to realize fair distribution of the aid to the intended people.
Hiddig also said the militias are intending to forcefully take the food for the displaced people or to name a percentage that they could feed it to their militias.
He lastly urged the aid agencies to increase the help they are rendering to the Somalis who have been affected by drought and conflict.
