Mogadishu (almuniir) -The commissioner of the police force of Somalia talked about operations the police force made in some parts of Hamar weyn of Banadir province
The Somali police spokesman Abdullahi Hassan Barise told Almuniir that the police have started security operation in Hamar weyn from 9pm and will continue until security is maintained.
Barise said the arrested people were preparing local brew popularly known as Alaqa among the Somalis. The police is currently interrogating the 28 arrested people, as confirmed to Bar-kulan by the spokesperson.
This is not the first operation undertaken by the police in parts of Mogadishu. The police have rounded up one person planting bhang in his homestead last month.
Police operations in Mogadishu have been intensifying since the military started to take new positions from the insurgents. The operations follow bid by the government to secure and tighten its grip on the new territories it has taken over.
