Deputy Prime Minister Omaar talks about summit on Libya In Addis Ababa


Mogadishu (almuniir) - The deputy prime minister and the minister of foreign affairs of the transitional government of Somalia returned to Mogadishu after a short visit to neighboring Ethiopia. The minister gave explanation on his visit to Ethiopia where he said the issue of Libya was mainly discussed in the meeting.

Omaar said in the course of the meeting in Addis Ababa by the heads of the African countries, he had separate meetings with the leaders who were present.
 Omaar said the leaders were impressed by the advances made by the Somali military and the development of the government.
The minister commended the good work of the Somali forces and the operations they are undertaking in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.
The government forces were engaged recently in operations intended to kick out the militias Al-shabab from their hold onto Bakara market making significant advances.
In latest reports indicate a large number of Al-shabab were fleeing Mogadishu where they are losing ground to the TFG forces.
